Promoting Investment for Agriculture in Tanzania, 16 Feb.
The Gathering is a one of a kind thought provoking series that triggers discussions on the future of the financial sector in Tanzania. Our fourth episode of the Gathering will deliberate on how the financial sector is mobilizing and deploying suitable capital for modernization, commercialization, and industrialization of agriculture in Tanzania. The session will explore the following key areas: Local liquidity mobilization; Mobilizing longer term and affordable capital from new and existing base; Innovations in financial products and services; Emerging financing models and collaborations; Policy in agricultural finance.

THE HUDDLE & INNOVATION HUB LAUNCH
Pitch Session, 22 feb.
The Huddle is a unique platform for the FinTech community, devoted to the fields of digital, SME, insurance, and agriculture finance, to pitch their innovative and transformative ideas to solutions, for capital funding opportunities. This pitching session will be held in front of a live audience. This time time around we have six FinTech pitching who emerged as finalists from a rigorous selection process consisting of several phases to strengthen their ideas and pitches: FinDisrupt Innovation Sprint Pre-Boot Camp, Boot Camp, and Acceleration. They are the the six finalists from 33 FinTechs that qualified for the Pre-Boot Camp. All FinTechs present will also get the opportunity to register for the Innovation Hub! FINSCOPE TANZANIA 2017
Regional Dissemination Session, Week of 26 Feb.
After the successful launch of the FinScope Tanzania 2017 findings last year, we would like to revive the momentum in 2018 by beginning with the FinScope Tanzania 2017 post-launch dissemination sessions. Our sessions are expected to begin In Zanzibar, whereby FSDT will share FinScope Tanzania 2017 findings with a primary focus on Zanzibar, and discuss the implications of the findings to the economy and social lives in the Isles.
A profile for Zanzibar based on FinScope findings and analysis has been prepared and the same will be shared. This is a unique opportunity for Zanzibar to benefit from the in depth discussions that can shape the future of financial inclusion for impact in Zanzibar and Tanzania as a whole.
